Gradient-based compressive image fusion

Yang CHEN,Zheng QIN

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2015, Volume 16, Issue 3,   Pages 227-237 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1400217

Abstract: We present a novel image fusion scheme based on gradient and scrambled block Hadamard ensemble (SBHE) sampling for compressive sensing imaging. First, source images are compressed by compressive sensing, to facilitate the transmission of the sensor. In the fusion phase, the image gradient is calculated to reflect the abundance of its contour information. By compositing the gradient of each image, gradient-based weights are obtained, with which compressive sensing coefficients are achieved. Finally, inverse transformation is applied to the coefficients derived from fusion, and the fused image is obtained. Information entropy (IE), Xydeas’s and Piella’s metrics are applied as non-reference objective metrics to evaluate the fusion quality in line with different fusion schemes. In addition, different image fusion application scenarios are applied to explore the scenario adaptability of the proposed scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the gradient-based scheme has the best performance, in terms of both subjective judgment and objective metrics. Furthermore, the gradient-based fusion scheme proposed in this paper can be applied in different fusion scenarios.

Catalytic hydrogenation of insoluble organic matter of CS/Acetone from coal over mesoporous HZSM-5 supported

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2022, Volume 16, Issue 10,   Pages 1505-1513 doi: 10.1007/s11705-022-2164-0

Abstract: Four supported catalysts, nickel and ruthenium on a HZSM-5 support, were prepared by equal volume impregnation and in-situ decomposition of carbonyl nickel. The properties of catalysts were investigated by catalytic hydro-conversion of 2,2′-dinaphthyl ether as the model compound and extraction residue of Naomaohu lignite as the sample under an initial H2 pressure of 5 MPa and temperature at 150 °C. According to the catalytic hydro-conversion results of the model compound, Ni−Ru/HZSM-5 exhibited the best catalytic performance. It not only activated H2 into H···H, but also further heterolytically split H···H into immobile H attached on the acidic centers of Ni−Ru/HZSM-5 and relatively mobile H+. Catalytic hydro-conversion of the extraction residue from Naomaohu lignite was further examined over the optimized catalyst, Ni−Ru/HZSM-5. Detailed molecular compositions of products from the extraction residue with and without hydrogenation were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The analytical results showed that the oxygen-containing functional groups in products of hydrogenated extraction residue were obviously reduced after the catalytic treatment. The relative content of oxygenates in the product with catalytic treatment was 18.57% lower than that in the product without catalytic treatment.

Strategic Study of CAE 2008, Volume 10, Issue 5,   Pages 51-57

Abstract:

To overcome 3 shortcomings of the traditional PNCT (pure numerals ciphering technology) of that, properties of the divulging a secret, the allotted time and the dead secrets. This paper gives a novel ciphering technique based on specific properties of intelligent VCN (variable carrying numbers). All allowed cipher numbers are FCN (fixed carrying numbers), in the traditional PNCT, and their changing rules of FCN are both very simple, mechanism and too difficult to be remembered, so that they make the mentioned shortcomings of being sure secrecy in the course of nature. The VCN are extension of the FCN, which are also a new concept of numbers in a broad sense, but their complex, intelligence and flexibility in changing rules are just to overcome the 3 shortcomings of PNCT in FCN.

Correlativity study between expression of DNA double-strand break repair protein and radiosensitivity of tumor cells

Liang ZHUANG, Shiying YU, Xiaoyuan HUANG, Yang CAO, Huihua XIONG

Frontiers of Medicine 2009, Volume 3, Issue 1,   Pages 26-29 doi: 10.1007/s11684-009-0008-7

Abstract: DNA double-strand break (DSB) is generally regarded as the most lethal of all DNA lesions after radiation. Ku80, DNA-PK catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs) and ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) proteins are major DSB repair proteins. In this study, survival fraction at 2Gy (SF2) values of eight human tumor cell lines (including four human cervical carcinoma cell lines HeLa, SiHa, C33A, Caski, three human breast carcinoma cell lines MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-453, and one human lung carcinoma cell line A549) were acquired by clone formation assay, and western blot was applied to detect the expressions of Ku80, DNA-PKcs and ATM protein. The correlativity of protein expression with SF2 value was analyzed by Pearson linear correlation analysis. We found that the expression of same protein in different cell lines and the expression of three proteins in the same cell line had a significant difference. The SF2 values were also different in eight tumor cell lines and there was a positive correlativity between the expression of DNA-PKcs and SF2 ( =0.723, = 0.043), but Ku80 and ATM expression had no correlation with SF2 ( >0.05). These findings suggest that the expression level of DNA-PKcs protein can be an indicator for predicting the radiosensitivity of tumor cells.

Abstract: plays a fundamental role in many fields in engineering and medicine, including surface parameterization in graphics, registration in computer vision, and generative models in deep learning. For quadratic distance cost, map is the gradient of the Brenier potential, which can be obtained by solving the . Furthermore, it is induced to a geometric convex optimization problem. The is highly non-linear, and during the solving process, the intermediate solutions have to be strictly convex. Specifically, the accuracy of the discrete solution heavily depends on the sampling pattern of the target measure. In this work, we propose a algorithm which greatly reduces the sampling bias and improves the accuracy and robustness of the discrete solutions. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and efficacy of our method.
